Microsoft is so out of touch with its users. The video below shows General Manager of Live Labs at Microsoft, Kostas Mallios, talking about how their new Windows Phone 7 is an “ad-serving machine”.  Applications are to keep people informed and to build a connection with the advertiser. Tiles on the main screen allow advertisers to send notifications to your phone and pop up on screen or if that’s disabled, then a notification bar can drop down with the message. So who are Microsoft’s customers, every day users or the advertisers?

I really need to re-learn Java. .Net is so… Microsoft.
